New York Marathon

I'm in !!
I will run New York City Marathon on Nov 7th 2010 !!
I will run this Marathon for my charity "Vidya Daanam; Empowerment through Education"....for those children to whom education is not a reality.....because every child deserves education.

Did not run in the last few days

I started off well in the beginning of this month. I fell off the track in the last 10 days. I did not run at all recently. After a long gap, I ran 4.5 miles today. It was on a relatively faster pace. I ran 4.5 miles in 47 minutes. I plan to run in the next few days. Will post the updates here

Good so far in this week

This week has been good from the exercise stand point. I was able to run on Monday and Wednesday. I ran 3 miles on Monday and 4 miles on Wednesday. That is 7 miles so far in this week. I have to run atleast 3 miles before end of Sunday to reach my 10 mile goal.

I went to my first Yoga class on Tuesday. Yoga was great. It is tougher than you thing. The end result was good. I felt nice after the class.

Ran for about 50 minutes today

I ran for about 50 minutes today (about 4.5 miles). I was supposed to run 2.5 more so that I will meet my target of 10 miles this week. With today's run, the total mileage is 12 miles. This is well over my target.

I plan to run for 10 miles in the next week as well. Let's see.........

Ran for about 48 minutes today

I ran for about 48 minutes this evening. I might have ran for more than 4 miles. That makes a total mileage of about 7.5 miles for this week. I need to run 2.5 more miles in the next 3 days in order to reach my target of 10 miles in this week. Time alone will say if I will do it or not.

In the last 9 months, my weight increased by 7 lbs. This is not a great news. My immediate goal is to stop further increase. I plan to check my weight after a month to see if my weight increased or constant.

I am meeting Raman Sir for lunch tomorrow. He is a true Karma Yogi. He is a man of determination. If he thinks of doing anything, he will not rest until it is completed. I hope to get some inspiration from him.

Running update

I have not been running much these days. Today I ran for about 40 minutes. It was approximately about 3.5 miles. I am targetting to run a total of about 10 miles in this week. That means that I have to run 6.5 miles in the next few days. Do you think that I will do it? Well....time will answer. I will keep this log updated.

New York Marathon

I submitted the application form to enter New York Marathon. It is on 2nd Nov 08. I started to train for it. This week was good. I was able to fun few miles and get started on my cross training. I ran 6 miles today.
